World Economic Forum has published The Financial Development
Report 2012 which measures and analysis the factors enabling the development of
the financial system around the world. Report aims to serve the decision makers
in developing a balanced perspective as to which aspects of their countries
financial system are most important in the long term and calibrate with respect
to other countries.
The financial development index shows how a country’s
ranking changes to other countries. Some
countries lose their position relative to previous year. These countries are
Bahrain , United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Czech
Republic, Peru , Colombia, Kazakhstan, Bangladesh, Nigeria, Netherlands, France, Malaysia, Spain, Austria, Brazil, Mexico, Vietnam, Argentina, Norway, , Belgium, Italy, Morocco, Pakistan, Tanzania, Venezuela, China, Poland, India, Egypt, Philippines, Ukraine,
Saudi Arabia.
Among these countries Saudi Arabia performed worst in this
year. The change is so big for this country and also declined in values.
Best performing countries are Kuwait, Finland, Germany,
Denmark, Korea, Rep., Hungary, Ireland, Israel, Chile, and Ghana.
