Incidence of rape is higher in Dhaka than Delhi. How much is the awareness level?

According to the statistics of Bangladesh Police website, it is clear that the incidence of rape and violence against women is higher in Dhaka range than Delhi. The recent death of the rape victim, a medical student of delhi, made a renaissance in India. Thousands of protesters and humanitarian organizations are making protest and rallies every day in Delhi. Situation is also similar in Bangladesh too. Most women and young girls complain that they are being victim by the men in road and public transport but nothing to do against them. The mentality of the male persons should be changed to get rid of this type of women abuse and harassments. Some organization is Dhaka also making protests against this type of assault and violence. We looked into the statistics of Bangladesh of this specific issue of rape and other types of violence against women.

It is very clear from the table that about 26% rape of total Bangladesh occurs In Dhaka range and also about 25% of violence against women also occurs in Dhaka range. The annual percentage of rape as a percentage of violence against women is almost 18% in whole Bangladesh and it is almost 20% in Dhaka range.

Comparison with Delhi, India

If we compare the incidence of rape in Delhi and Dhaka, then it is also clear that the number of rape in a year is higher than delhi. The total number of rape in Dhaka in last one year is higher than Delhi city of Delhi Union Teritory. The rate of rape is also lower than Bangladesh.

Why Comparison:

 The comparison is just to provide the message that it is the time to take necessary step from the government and social organisations and media to protest this violence against women. Rape is rape, whatever the number is. Even a single rape is a threat to the humanity of present world. So we should stop rape and violence against women. We have to make sure the justice of the victims. We have to implement the law to make a better world.
